have you already checked the PDF documentations that are delivered with your Programm CD? You can find many script examples in the Javascript Reference.

I've been there and downloaded. I'm looking for something alittle more instructive with more examples.

I found "Adobe Illustrator Scripting" by Ethan Wilde (Adobe Press) on Amazon. It covers scripting w/ Visual Basic and Apple Script. My copy only covers up to AI version 10.
