Illustrator CS stops working when changing between the applications

I've got 2800 Ghz Pentium 4, 1GHz RAM, 128 Mb Geforce graphic card, Windows XP. After starting Illustrator CS I open for example Word and Acrobat. I click on them and go from one application to another. It works for about a minute. After that it freezes and stops working properly. Some parts turn white and some parts from anothers applications appear. The same thing happens when using Windows 2000 and I tried on 3 different computers in different places and it is the same. If anyone knows what it might be, please tell me.

I have had the same problem with almost exactly the same system. And I can't quit out of Illustrator, either. I am using the 'tryout' version, this is my first day with it. I do have experience with older versions. But CS seems a bit buggy to me. Anybody else?
