He wants a thumbnail for the file. You must have a copy of Quicktime installed to generate and view the thumbnails. I'm running OS9.2.2 and have QT6.0.2.

Save a test file as a PDF. Make sure that the box to create thumbnails is checked. Save the file. This will reset the Options.
