Default illustrator pdfs for web--file size way too big--help

    Hello,
When I write from illustrator (10), my pdfs are largish, eg: 250k (one
    page with minimal graphics).

If I open in Acrobat, and then try to print to distiller or pdf writer,
I can crunch them down to say 60k, but colors shift noticably. (eg:
royal blue goes to a bright blue.

"Print" settings are very limited... and I've tried every option
    available. Any suggestions?

Ultimate goal is to take all these .ai files I have and make them web happy.

Frustrating experience... this should take 2 minutes.

Thanks for any assistance or direction,
    -e

    Hello again,
I edited my preferences through Distiller and it all worked out.
Had to think of it as a printer.

    No assistance required.
    Thank you,
