have a pantone duotone green image (scaned drawing, made greyscale, tinted monotone) placed in illustrator (linked, not embedded) also in the illustrator file is some text (made outlines) with the same pantone as i tinting the photoshop duotone. AND some text with a gold duotone.

it SHOULD print out with a green plate with the image greyscale and the text that is green. and a second gold plate that just includes the gold text.

what it actaully prints out is a green plate with the image and the text (good) but then has a gold plate that has the text AND a greyscale of the image..... WHY THE HECK, does the gold plate have a grey scale of the image? and how can i get rid of it so it seperates correctly?
