Try changing all your flat fill swatches to "process color" and have the "global" check mark checked. usually this error is caused my a use of spot colors on a process printer. usually occurs if you have a Rip attached to your xerox (its a computer tower, with an lcd screen)

I'm seeing the same thing. Panther just installed. HP printer. Illustrator files print a bunch of pages with gibberish at top of each page...other programs print fine...Anybody ever figure this out??...

Not sure but it is maybe cause with a none postscript level 3 printer. Try to downsaving your file to illustrator 8 format.
