Illustrator Reading Fonts problem
When Illustrator 10 is loading it seems to freeze up on "Reading Fonts." The program will eventually load, but after a LONG time (like 20-30 mins). I deleted the AIPrefs file to no avail and I tried uninstalling/restarting/reinstalling which also didn't work. While searching I found a forum where two others have the same problem. If anyone knows what to do to fix this it would be greatly appreciated. Forgive me if this has been posted before; I did a forum search and didn't find anything. thanks.

Re: Illustrator Reading Fonts problem
Justin,
Have you updated to Illustrator 10.0.3? How many fonts do you have installed on your system (all font types)? If well over 100 to 150 you might wish to purchase an external font manager such as Adobe ATM Deluxe or Bitstream Font Reserve which allows you to make custom font sets and although you can thousands of fonts installed, you only make those custom sets active when you need them (with a click). Installed and active fonts require system resources and especially when launching font using programs take more than their share of time when loading.
