Default Illustrator SDK 10 - swatch selection

Can anybody tell how to select a newly created swatch through the SDK?. I am able to create a swatch but cannot set it as the current swatch. It is very urgent.

    Thanks in advance.

Default Re: Illustrator SDK 10 - swatch selection

    Babitha,

The swatch you created will stay in the file you created it in, so if you save it to your Adobe Illustrator Startup_cmyk/rgb.ai file (Plugins folder), it'll be available to you whenever you open a new file. Otherwise in Swatches Library, check Other and then browse for the file you saved it in and it'll be accessable from there. Some, rather than putting in the Startup file make a Swatch file (or named as you desire) where they place all custom creations, then apply that from the "other" swatch library. Also be sure, if you put it into the Startup to do an external "save as" to another folder to archive it, otherwise you might lose it, if you ever go back to the original default Startup file, you'd lose your custom creations.
