The only things I can think of is to import the the illustrator file as a 'bitmap', like PNG or something then use the image command to hack at the imported image, it has a fill Command.

It's a bit of a cop out but that's one way. The other is to import Illustrator file to Flash MX and import that to Director and get Diretcor to ask Flash to Flood fill.

Your manager must be a bit of a knob if you get fired for something like that.

the "PostScript to Vector Shape" utility plugs right into director. I use it for this sort of stuff.
I dont remember the website offhand. MoshPlant.com or something like that.
I hope you still have your job.

Indeed. And if anyone is too big a muppet to notice a deliberate irony then
    that's their problem :-)

    lol

Thats not called 'irony', its called 'sarcasm'.

Definition of irony:a pretense of ignorance and of willingness to learn from another assumed in order to make the other's false conceptions conspicuous by adroit questioning -- called also Socratic irony.

There was nothing 'ironic' about his Roberts post since it was a deliberate act lol

Anyway, if you struggle with the use of any other of the millions of English words simply go into google and type 'online dictionary'.

In the meantime, im going to see social security to see if they can help feed my five kids, four of which only have one shoe each :(

    Enjoy (slap!)

    hehehehe

Just for the record guys, Bridlington has one of the highest unemployment percentages in England.

If you've ever been without a job, you'll realise that it wasn't appropriate, but sarcy.

Let's not have a cow about it though, this is a support forum isn't it?

Socratic Irony is one of several definitions.

The possible dual interpretation of my post was entirely deliberate, btw.
For future reference, if you start a new thread with no body text
(especially with an inflammatory off-topic subject line) then expect
sarcastic responses (which mine was not: it was ironic).

Director supports a wide variety of graphic formats. Vector graphics are supported as native vector shapes (#vectorShape) or as Flash SWF files. Vector shapes are created in Director using the Vector tool. Often, developers need to import art created in an illustration application such as Macromedia FreeHand, Adobe Illustrator or CorelDRAW. However, EPS, AI, FH9 and CDR file formats are not natively supported in Director and cannot be imported without the use of an Xtra or plug-in.

It is possible to save artwork created in Macromedia FreeHand as a SWF file, which can then be imported into Director. For Adobe Illustrator and CorelDRAW users this can also be accomplished using the Macromedia FlashWriter plug-in for Adobe Illustrator or the CorelDRAW Exporter. These plug-ins are available for free download at the Flash Download Center for registered users of Illustrator and CorelDRAW.

EPS files may also be imported into Director using a third-party Xtra. The PS2VS Xtra from Moshofsky/Plant Creative Services for Director 7 and 8 works on both Macintosh and Windows operating systems. The Xtra can be downloaded from the Moshofsky/Plant PS2VS Web page. The current version converts Adobe Illustrator (EPS and AI files) and Macromedia FreeHand EPS files to Director 8 #vectorShapes
