Default I'm having a mental block here about text

Hi- I'm working on an annual report for my nonprofit and thought up a simple element that I wanted to use. I edited the pics in PShop and placed them into InDesign. When I tried to manipulate the text in ID, I couldn't (and can't) figure out how to do it. Basically, I'm trying to slant the letters to give them "perspective". I did a quickie draft in PS to show you all what I mean.

I greatly appreciate any feedback on this.

    IDCS for the PC, BTW.

    Thanks

I think you're better off doing it in Photoshop. Save as PDF and place
    that in ID.

Other than that, use the shear tool in ID on the text.

In ID, can't you select your text box (pointer tool), bring up your transform palette, and set the rotation and skew to whatever values you need?

    Thanks for the responses.

Bob, I'm just concerned that the text will be jaggy if I import it from PShop, but maybe if I compose each word as a separate large image, it won't look so bad. You'd recommend a PDF as opposed to a PSD?

Alan, thanks! It still isn't perfect but perhaps that's my own issue. I'll play with the angling and see if I can get the perspective to look more realistic.

As always, Adobe Forums comes through. I appreciate everyone's help!

The PDF will be fine. I do it all the time. Just save it with fonts
embedded and vectors preserved and you'll be fine.
