iMac G5s Crash after publishing
We are upgrading several workstations from Mac G4 machines to G5's. In each
case Contribute crashes after publishing a page on the newer machines but not
the older ones.
Re-installing software, new keys, etc have not helped. This even happens on a
brand new machine, freshout of the box with ONLY Contribute 3 installed.
We can edit pages at the Macromedia test site without crashing, and also pages
hosted at our ISP. Only internally hosted web pages cause the crash, We have
set up a new web server internally and the results are the same.
It is strange that we do not have this problem with G3 or G4 machines. All
are running OS X 10.3.8.
We've had an incident open on this for almost a month now and don't seem to
be getting any closer to a resolution.

Re: iMac G5s Crash after publishing
Here is some additional information on this issue.
Because the problem only seems to happen with in-house sites and not those
hosted elsewhere, I took one of the affected machines home with me on the
weekend and tried to edit the website from there. Everything worked perfectly,
with no crashes after publishing on several attempts!
Could it be that the speed of the LAN plus the speed of the G5's is what's
causing the crashes?
