    Default Image pre-loader

I am building this website for my family and we have a lot of pix of holidays
and of my parents grand kids. There are over 2.73 GB worth of pix that have to
go on this site some where. And i have opitmazed for the web but the pix that
are up still take a bit to download. So my next step is to pre load the images
in to cache, but I have not found an easy to use pre-loader that makes it easy
to add the pix and to then copy the code for the pix before the page. I am
wondering if it would be easier to create a flash movie to pre-load and to load
the pix instead of java or CSS. Any help would be great.

    Default Re: Image pre-loader

This about this - there is no free lunch. No preloader is going to make 2GB
of images seem like anything other than 2GB or images. Any page with such a
preloader on it is going to be a slug.

Why on earth do you have 2GB of image weight? What are the dimensions of
your images? What is their format (JPG or BMP)? When you say you have
optimized, what exactly have you done?
