Image resize issues with Contribute 4
I'm testing (trial version) Contribute 4 as a possible blog editor. So far,
it's looking pretty good, if somewhat expensive for it's intended task,
although I do like it a lot - it does a lot of good things.
However, I can't get it to simply accept the images I drag onto the
composition window. They get resized.
I get the message that says I can reset this in the 'BlogHub.csi' file. (Talk
about unintuitive, Adobe...)
However, it doesn't seem to matter what values I reset Bloghub to, the default
behaviour continues to occur. And despite the values being reset to:
<image_width value='700' />
<image_height value='725' />
(Or any number - I've tried several.)
the file (orig 732x768, jpg) actually appears in the composition window at
241x225 pix
The same file, cropped (randomly) to 555x455 comes in at 280x225.
A 350x349 image becomes 225x225.
So 225 appears to be a constant.
Any ideas? Does this happen just because I'm using the trial edition?
TIA

So has anyone managed to beat the '255 wide' bug? I've made items 'false', changed figures, you name it, but nothing has worked.

Re: Image resize issues with Contribute 4
The location is C:\documents and settings\<username>\Local Settings\Application Data\Adobe\Contribute 4\Configuration - change the same file name there and it will take.

Re: Image resize issues with Contribute 4
I'm running the Mac version and having the same problem. Where on earth do I change the bloghub.csi file? Agree with previous poster... this is slightly unintuitive!

Re: Image resize issues with Contribute 4
On a Mac, I've used TextEdit to change the values, but it still will not allow an image to come in at the size I want.
This is a serious glitch. Can't use it unless it's fixed.... anyone??

Re: Image resize issues with Contribute 4
Once you change the values in the .csi file, please remove and recreate the connection and try the same scenarion.
