Images & linking to computer file to enlarge
Hi,
I am new here and have been working with Contribute 3 for the past few years
and just love it. I currently have lots of images on our website and would
like to know if there is a way to enable people to click on them to enlarge
them, while keeping them small on our website. I tried linking one of the
pictures to a larger file in my computer images and I think it said something
about not having a page set up, so I undid and stopped because I was unsure of
what to do exactly.
Thank You,
Linda

Re: Images & linking to computer file to enlarge
You can create a link from an image on your website to the large version of the
image on your computer.
1. select the image
2. right mouse click> insert link
3. browse to the large image on your computer
4. choose the file, check New Window in advanced settings
5. repeat that for every image on the page you want to show the large image of
Once you publish the page the larger images get uploaded to the server. When a
visitor clicks the smaller image a new browser window will open showing your
enlarged image.
If you want a more advanced solution, you will need scripting (javascript,
lightbox, or something like that).

Re: Images & linking to computer file to enlarge
Okay, great thanks it worked. Last time I tried it, I used the link button up
top and maybe my picture was to large or something, I really forget, but it
came up saying something about adding a page. But I just tried it and this
worked.
Thanks,
Linda
