Import Photoshop 7 content to MX
Hi!
I have some problems with graphics import from Photoshop 7 to Flash MX. When
I was trying to import 1-to-1 sized images, their view was bad enough to be
used inside Flash movies. Then I tried to make a bigger images in Photoshop
(tiff), then import them to MX, vectorize and shrink to appropriate size.
This method works but I believe I'm setting to much curves while vectorizing
my image so swf is enormously growing. May be someone have an optimal
vectorization settings for an average complexity graphics?
Is there are straight and simple way of Photoshop-to-MX graphics import?
Any suggestions and recommendations of correct graphics import to MX greatly
appreciated!

Re: Import Photoshop 7 content to MX
whenever i make images in photoshop to import to flash i always save in a
png format. i find that it really gets all the parts of the image well.
whether there be transparency or gradients. if its blocky colour then i use
gif format. i tend to stay away from targa, tiff formats. i use those when
importing from a 3D package

Re:Import Photoshop 7 content to MX
When creating images in photoshop, I save them in PSD format. Importing PSD files into Flash requires your computer to have the quicktime plugin installed, without that it won't imort. Works just as well as png with as good a detail if not better because you are getting the vector image imported with the same quality without the little tweaks you may have to do with Gif or JPG. Also it lends very little to the overall size of your SWF.
Just a thought.
