    Default import psd into psd

is there anyway to import an existing psd file into a second psd file so that the layers, masks, etc. remain intact? in the new file, i simply want each layer of the first file to be added to the new file.

    thanks,
    Brian

File one: make a new layer set then put everything in that set folder
then drag it over. It helps if the size is the same so you don't have
    to transform.

I tried that, and also tried duplicating a layer into the new psd file, but the masks associated with a layer don't transfer with it. any other ideas?

Make sure the link icon is visible between the layer and mask before dragging.

Another option is to create a folder in your layers and put all layers inside of it including the masks. Drag the folder to the new PSD file's window.

I've had that work on some things and become confused on others... just depends on the complexity of the composition.
