I suggest you make your CMYK TIFF flat in PS (no clipping paths, no alpha
channels). Create a clipping path in FH and paste the TIFF inside. Should
    work fine.

We are creating the transparency in PS using the alpha channel, so I guess this
is not the best way to do it.
Is there any simpler workaround instead of using FH clipping path ?

Regarding the clipping path in FH, is there any nice tutorial around?
    Thanks for the help.

If your alpha channel is good, you can make it a selection, convert that
to a path, export the path as AI, and open that in FH. You get crop
marks when you export the path and you can use them to register the path
in FH to the tiff from Photoshop.

If I might make a suggestion. Why not just do the background in
Photoshop and print the poster from there?

I definitely think this method will give the best results (and will
possibly be the easiest, if you've already gone to the trouble of
creating the mask). I find that hard-edged clipping paths (especially
automatically generated ones) rarely give satisfactory results around
things like hair, at least not on large images.

We've managed to make a transparency using clipping path in FH.
I guess this is the best way to make things work.

    Thanks for all the help.

Ken Kehl's tutorial on using a Photoshop clipping path in FH might help you
    speed up the process.
