Default Importing EPS...Can't see the image

I've just started to use FreeHand MX and I've been having problems importing EPS files. Basically, when I import EPS files (Usually has Clipped Path) into FreeHand MX, what I see is a box with a cross.

I've read this somewhere that this is because the EPS doesn't have a TIFF preview, BUT when I import these EPS (Made from Photoshop or straight from Stock Image CDs) to FreeHand 8.0.1...no problem at all, I'm able to see the image.

So...what am I missing? I don't see any options related to this in the preferences.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank You.

    Rendy,

Sounds like the eps files have been saved without a preview - whether
tiff or macintosh. Unfortunately, the only way to fix this is to reopen
in Photoshop, save with a preview, and then reinsert into Freehand.

Default Re: Importing EPS...Can't see the image

I wouldn't be importing any vector EPS files into Photoshop just for the
sake of a preview. If there is any vector information in the EPS file
(other than a PS clipping path) then open it in a program that can read
the vector information (Illustrator) and then resave with the proper
    preview.
