    Default Importing Form Fields

    Hi,
I have a PDF file with hundreds of form fields in it and I want to import the form fields (their content is irrelevant) into another PDF. I can do this copying and pasting or even by dragging the whole page into the new PDF, but I was wondering if there is any way of exporting the actual fields and importing them into the new document.
    Thanks, Pat

    Default Re: Importing Form Fields

    Hi Pat,

As you are aware, you can both import/export form contents - but the
form fields themselves are a bit more awkward.

You can duplicate nUp in the same document - but not export as such.

Could you use the Replace pages command in the document (after a
SAVE-AS) to leave the fields where they are - and bring in the new data?

Otherwise, I was under the impression that you could use the Windows
based LiveCycle Designer application to gain more control over fields -
also link via ADBC ... but then that's another story ;-)

    Hope you're well!

    Wotcher Jon,
Thanks for the suggestions - think this one is going to be gruntwork however. What you can do is select one field then Apple+A and it selects all the others. These can then be pasted into the new doc. Then you have the fun of repositioning them...

OK then - make sure to go into single / continous mode and then you'll

Yep - there for 2 days and 6 Acrobat sessions ..

    Cheers!
