Default importing .html into webpage messes up layout

    Hi everyone.
when I try to import for example fireworks .html into a layer or table in my
web page, the WYSWYG layout scrables all over the place but in the browser
preview, it looks the way I wanted it to.

    any ideas why?
It makes it difficult to work with a scrambled design. (for example my
horizonal buttons that go under my page title go down to the bottom of my page
instead of staying in place.....but like I said it previews in IE explore 6 and
    firefox 2 great.

    any ideas much appreciated

Default Re: importing .html into webpage messes up layout

One way to avoid this would be to not use FW to write your HTML at all. The
truth is that FW's HTML is fragile when brought into the practical world of
webpage construction, and will break unexpectedly. While it is possible to
direct FW to write HTML that doesn't break like this, one would need to know
enough about HTML that one could build those pages better in DW anyhow.

What is it you are trying to do?

And by the way, this post would be better placed on the DW General forum.
When you post there, please describe what you want, and if possible give a
link to a page that illustrates your problem or that shows your current page
(it's the code we need to see, not an image of the page).
