Importing into QuarkXpress
Why do Illustrator files (created in both AI v10 and AI v9) import into QuarkXPress v4.0 picture boxes with an appearance of a perpendicular-lined screen applied to the images? (I'm using a Mac G4, system 9)
Also, why don't the PMS colors used in an AIv10 file import into the color palette of QuarkXPress v. 4.0 when the illustration is imported into a QuarkXPress picture box? (I'm using a Mac G4, system 9)

Re: Importing into QuarkXpress
Update to Illustrator 10.0.3 and Xpress 4.11 if you haven't already.
The poor image previews is a wonderful thing about Xpress.
As for your spot color not comign in... it should. It's diffucult to say why it's not without seeing the Illustrator file.

Mixed in with the fact that EPS previews are notoriously bad - it's a lethal combination...on screen that is.

Re: Importing into QuarkXpress
Are you saving the file from AI as a Black & White preview instead of a .tiff or Mac 8 bit?
