Importing just CERTAIN color swatches to new doent - Adobe Indesign Windows

How does one "load" just one or just a few color swatches from another doent to the one currently open. When you go to the colors palette, and click on "Load Swatches," you have to choose a previous file and it brings over ALL the colors from that file, minus those already existing in the current file. A royal pain! In the example, we are talking about previously made CMYK builds, not spot colors. In Quark, we were able to shift individual colors from one doc to another. In Quark, we were able to shift individual colors from one doc to another. Is there some way to do this in ID? I've searched this forum and looked at several books, but can't find it. Is this even something Adobe offers?

Using ID CS-1 on Windows 2000 Professional.

The method isn't intuitive, but here's how you do it:

To import selected swatches from a file

Choose New Color Swatch in the Swatches palette menu.
    Choose Other Library

<this is the vague part. Even though you're choosing Other Library, the file you select will be the ID file you want to import swatches from>

from the Color Mode list, and then select the file from which you want to import swatches.
Click Open (Windows) or Choose (Mac OS).
Select the swatches you want import.
    Click OK.

    Even easier is to:

    1) Arrange the source and target doent side by side
    2) Click anywhere in the source doent to activate it
    3) From the swatches palette, grab the swatches and drag them anywhere into
the the target doent and release the mouse button.

    Done...

Thanks Stephen and Richard. The drag-drop method is awesome! I moved a gradient, and InDesign is even "smart" enough to bring over the original color swatches the gradient was designed from.
