    Does anyone know if it is possible to insert a chart from Microsoft Excel into a project on InDesign 1.5? Please help.

    AFAIR it is only possible since Version 2, if you can't place an excel file
    it is most likely it is not possible.

    I don't believe it is possible even today to place an Excel chart directly into InDesign. The format that Excel uses is not condusive to quality printer, so it is not supported. Take the chart into an illustration application first and clean it up/export it in a form that InDesign will place, such as EPS or PDF.
