    Default importing ppt files

    hi,

Can anyone help me with this issue.
I have this huge ppt which I need to change into an avi file where I can keep
the voice seperately (to insert other language translations). Making an avi in
premier is going to be very time consumin so I tried this method. I cut the
ppt into 4 smaller ones first. If i tried importing the ppt 2000 or later
version in director 8 it gives the msg that ---- it's not a powerpoint 4 file.
then I tried saving the ppt in powerpoint 4 but then it gives me the error that
the ---- Property acess error -- argument out of range valid.
no matter how much i change the values of the frames & slide duration etc. it
still gives me the same error.
Can anyone tell me how to go about it? I need to import the ppts give
interactivity & export as an avi.

    thanks in advance

    Default Re: importing ppt files

You can export from PPT - Save As - JPG images (All slides), it will name
them in sequence, then import those images into Director and add your
    interactivity.

You may also want to take a look and some screen capture software and
"record" your presentation. You can then export as an AVI, SWF, QuickTime,
etc... Then lay your voice-over once you import into Director. I have had
great success with Camtasia to do this...
