importing text from word issue
hi
am working on a project that has lots of www.addresses in it
the problem is i had a word document and when it is imported into indesign there is a black box/keyline around the www.text
is there a way to get rid of the box once it has been placed please
obviously i realise now that i need to take the links out in word before i import... but the damage has been done now as i have spent a day formatting text and dont want to start again and there are lots and lots of web addresses
many thanks

Re: importing text from word issue
Look in the character palette. Do you see a hyperlink style with a
little disk icon on it? If so, just delete it. Make sure to uncheck the
keep formatting option and replace it with none.

Re: importing text from word issue
I have never seen that little icon...does it only occur if you have an official hyperlink style?
Also, you can go to window/interactive/hyperlinks and delete the hyperlink.

Re: importing text from word issue
That icon indicates that the paragraph or character style was imported
with the text.

Re: importing text from word issue
I get this all the time with Magazines I do. Under the Window Menu>Interactive>Hyperlink. The hyperlink palette should now be available, select them all and trash them.
