ImposerPro for Mac needed!
I am printing a 48p. catalogue on a Ricoh Aficio laser printer. SInce ALAP/Quark no longer makes ImposerPro for ID2, I'm in a fix: I bought an imposition program that use pdfs and it works fine, except that the output from pdfs on my printer is not as sharp as from the ID2 files. Type is not as black, colors shift a bit.
So: does anyone know where I can lay my hands on a copy of ImposerPro? I'll cheerfully pay for it.
Thanks.

Tom:
Which PDF imposition software is causing your problems? I use Quite Imposing Plus, an Acrobat plugin, with great success. Could you provide a little more information?

Re: ImposerPro for Mac needed!
I am using Cheap Imposter. For the obvious reason that it will save me about $700. (to buy Acrobat + Quite Imposing or ImposerPro for Acrobat), I wanted to give it a try. The problem is apparently in the Cheap Imposter software, because the pages print fine directly from Acrobat Reader. I'm at a loss to know why imposing software should slightly degrade the PDFs, but then this is my first time to try this (before I've always just printed from ID), and my ignorance is vast!

Well, I suspect it has something to do with the first word in the title of the software. You generally get what you pay for.

Yes, you're right . . . better just open up the wallet and get on with it.

Re: ImposerPro for Mac needed!
I have Imposer for InD CS2 but I'm not sure if selling is legal. I've been using Imposer Pro for Acrobat so don't need both.
If there's a legal way of selling it to you, we can talk.

Re: ImposerPro for Mac needed!
I don;t think there is a problem selling discontinued and no longer supported software. So, please get in touch and let's see what we can arrange. My contact information can be found on my website, web.mac.com/birdways.
Thanks.

Re: ImposerPro for Mac needed!
FYI:
I don't have Imposer Pro InD, but I do have Imposer Pro for Acrobat, and the EULA for that states:
"You may permanently transfer all your rights under this License to another party by providing to such party all copies of the Software licensed under this License together with a copy of this License and all written materials accompanying the Software, provided that the other party reads and agrees to accept the terms and conditions of this License."
So, I'm guessing what you're suggesting is quite kosher.
