    Default In-line graphics won't print

    Greetings,

    I'm using a small graphic as the bullet for a bulleted list. The bullets
    display properly within FreeHand. However, if I print it (or create a PDF from
    the file) the bullets disappear. I've tried it on a couple different printers;
    since it doesn't show up in the PDF document, I figure it's not a specific
    printer issue.

    I'm using FreeHand MX on Windows XP Pro.

    Any help would be most appreciated.

    Aha! Looks like a bug. Have you applied a Raster Effect to the object you're
    using as an inline graphic?

    Plain vector inline graphics behave correctly here. However, inline graphics
    with Drop Shadow Effect are missing in the exported PDF and in a PDF
    Distilled from Postscript file.

    The workaround would be to convert text to paths before exporting to PDF or
    printing. (Before converting to paths, save a copy of the text block on a
    non-printing layer so you can make future edits if necessary.)
