    Default InBooklet Error

I have a user that is getting the following message when using InBooklet and I'm stumped as to why.

"Printing Error: The Adobe Print Engine has failed to output your data due to an unknown problem."

His Mac is running 10.4.7 and Zit is InDesign CS2 4.0.4.

The document itself will print fine otherwise. The usual tricks of running disk utilities, trashing prefs, etc have not worked.

Is there and ideal or even maximum page count that InBooklet can handle. Job is 120 pages if I'm not mistaken.

Imposer Pro would do what we need I would imagine, but obviously Quark owns ALAP now….

    Default Re: InBooklet Error

If you have multiple "users" the best bet for a sitch like this is to send the file over to someone else and see if it will layout on their computer. It it WILL, then you know something funky is selected in the InBooklet dialog on the initial computer. If it doesn't work, you'll need to start looking at fonts, links etc. of the document to see if anything is corrupt. When it is printing, is this to a ps printer?

Nope tried this on three different Macs before and no go! Thanks for the thought tho Heather!

Yep printing to a postscript printer.

The font one is interesting, I'm trying to see if there is something there, but doubtful. All of the fonts are on a Extensis font server and checked via Font Doctor before being loaded. That being said you never know.
