Including "less equal" sign in MX under windows - Macromedia Freehand

How can I include special characters like the "less equal" character in a technical FreeHand MX drawing under Windows 2000? - Characters like "plus-minus", "less equal", "much smaller than", etc. are not included as "special characters" in the "Text" menue - Copying them from other applications like Word works sometimes, for "less equal" and others it fails - Copying them from a file generated on a Mac (where it is no problem to create them) shows the character on the screen but prints a different one although "download of soft fonts" is switched on.     How can I include special characters like the "less equal" character in a technical FreeHand MX drawing under Windows 2000?

    - Characters like "plus-minus", "less equal", "much smaller than", etc. are not included as "special characters" in the "Text" menue
    - Copying them from other applications like Word works sometimes, for "less equal" and others it fails
    - Copying them from a file generated on a Mac (where it is no problem to create them) shows the character on the screen but prints a different one although "download of soft fonts" is switched on. For instance, the "less equal" has been changed into "much bigger than" ... creating some confusion.

    Adobe has a nice chart that you can print out as a reference for all the
    standard characters. There is a seperate chart for Open Type.

    Successful - thanks for your advise - "less equal" is now also printed as "less equal" - reduces a bit my grumbling about Windows
