I have the same problem - resetting the Workspace to default doesn't help. Nor does changing my screen resolution. Any other ideas?

Laura -- To reset Preferences to Defaults, hold down the Command, Shift, Option, and Controls keys immediately as you start the application. You only have about a half-second window to do this. If you're successful with the keys, you'll be prompted if you want to reset Preferences to Defaults. Note that you will lose certain custom settings.
