incremental numbering
I am working on a neighborhood site plan that I rendered in Illustrator CS on an XP CPU. The plan was imported from an AutoCAD dwg file. The problem now is that I need to label each lot with a number incrementally. Does anyone know of a way to create incremental numbers? I also have the CADTools plugin installed but it only creates incremental numbers when attached to a leader line. There are over 400 lots and the manual alternative is not looking very fun right now.

Re: incremental numbering
Does anyone know of a way to create incremental numbers?
Use the Graph tool to create a graph. In the Value Axis dialog, turn on Override Calculated Values. Enter Min 1, Max 400, Divisions 400.
Ungroup the chart (may have to ungroup twice). Delete all the unwanted stuff, leaving only the stack of individual value axis PointText objects.
