Default INDCS2 EPS files won't import into Quark 4

We still have to export all our pages and ads as EPS files to paginate in QuarkXpress 4 on a PC. Lately I have found that when exporting single pages or ads from InDesign CS2 4.0.3 to EPS, we cannot import them into QuarkXpress, we receive a strange error message. We have to set our previews to TIFF so they are visible on the PC, but the only way they will import is with a Mac/PICT preview, but then the ad/page is only a grey box. If we export all the pages at once in a multi-page document with a TIFF preview, the files work just fine. But single pages won't. My work around has been to export the files as PDFs take them to Acrobat and Save As EPS.

These same problem EPS files won't import into Multi-Ad Creator and it gives us a File Is Wrong Type error.

You've already discovered the best way to get this done given a less
    than ideal workflow.
