InDesign 2.0.2, Windows 98, VERY SLO-O-O-W

Posted: 08-26-2004, 07:23 PM
I am working on a 400-500 page document, mostly text with a few tables in Windows 98, ID 2.0.2. I am doing corrections and changes, and it has gotten so-o-o slo-o-o-w! Sometimes I have to wait a count of five to make a small word change, before it appears. I have done scan disk and defrag, have removed Saved Data in ID, and tried everything I could think of, but nothing works.
This is taking forever, and should be a much simpler project. I'd appreciate any other advise anyone can give me. I have also removed a lot of fonts, in case that could be the problem, but it didn't help . . . much! Need help on this quickly as the project should be finished by the end of August.
