Default InDesign 3.0 CS - How do I get the Mouse+Alt-key shortcut from PageMaker back?

    Hi,
I have just upgraded to InDesign CS from Page Maker (Win XP).

I miss the shortcut from Page Maker where I could move around my document using the Alt-key and my mouse... I haven't been able to find out how I make this shortcut work in InDesign. This shortcut is not listed under Keyboard Shortcuts.

Hope that someone can help me!

Do you mean the hand tool?

That's in the toolbox, and the keyboard shortcut is to hold down the space
bar - obviously make certain you don't have an insertion point selected.

Actually, while using the space bar works, even better is to use Alt+space bar. This will work to get the hand tool whether in a text frame or not.

Yes, its good practice to use the alt-spacebar for the reason mentioned above AND because if you have the zoom tool and just use spacebar, once you click down with your mouse to move your document indesign reverts back to the zoom tool and you ZOOM IN!...ARGH!...
