InDesign crahes when trying to format CELLS in table

I'm having a seriousely hard time, as my InDesign (WIN) crashes, when I want format my cells in a table (table-format works fine).

Any ideas?

Any cell in any table in any document? Or particular cells in a particular table in a particular document?

What kind of formatting are you applying, using what technique?

A common cause of crashes is a bad or corrupted font -- do the cells in quesiton use a particular font?

Fonts etc all ok, problem seems to exist in all files. I can access the text options for cells, but it crashes when I try to change fill/stroke etc.

If it's happening on every document, try trashing your preferences.

What version of ID? With ID CS simply hold down the ctrl+shift+alt keys
when launching ID. When asked if you want to delete the pref files, say yes.
