Default InDesign CS - Importing Word Graphs

Hi there, hope someone can help me out.

I'm trying to import some Word-generated (2002) graphs into InDesign CS.

So far, I have simply copied and pasted the graphs in and they tend to look very 'blocky' - the text is very hard to read and looks more like an over-zoomed graphic than a font.

The standard Help topics don't include anything about this so I'm wondering if anyone else has come up against this or has some hints/solutions.

    Thanks

You can't get grapics from Word to ID like that. You'll need to either
copy and paste to Illustrator or CorelDraw and then go to ID via AI, EPS
    or PDF.

Or--if you have Adobe Acrobat--you could generate a PDF directly from
    Word.

I was actually going to include that but realized it was just adding an
extra step since copying directly to Illy would give you the same result.

Thank you for your help - I'll try the generating a PDF route as I don't have any graphical editing software such as Illustrator or CorelDraw.
