RE: InDesign CS text query
Hi,
When I type ot import text in InDesign CS on Windows sometimes the text has a highlight in the background. Sometimes it's green and others it is yellow. Has anyone any idea what or why this is happening. Sorry if it's really obvious and I've wasted anyones time with silly questions!

Re: RE: InDesign CS text query
Hi Bob,
I have the following checked:
H + J's, Custom Tracking, Subsituted Fonts and SKip by Leading. Does each option have a colour?
Thanks for your help,
William

InDesign CS text query
Yup. They each have their own color, but off the top of my head, I don't
remember them. I think the H&J highlight is yellow and will vary in
shade depending up the violation.

Re: RE: InDesign CS text query
Yes, each has a color.
And there's the dreaded pinkness too, if you're using a font that isn't installed on your computer.
I just posted a script to help the dreaded pinkness issue over in the Mac forum. It's a JavaScript, so can also be used with Windows. Check it out: Dave Saunders "Dreaded Pinkness Tamed" 8/20/04 5:31am </cgi-bin/webx?14@@.3bb58fe3/0>

Re: RE: InDesign CS text query
Oops: the dreaded pinkness = Substituted fonts. It's unwise to turn that one off.
