Indesign document prints pages edges. Why?

Default Indesign document prints pages edges. Why?

I received an indesign (cs2) document of a book in order to make another book in the same series with the same styles etc...

When I printed it, I noticed that besides the regular crop-marks etc the pages edges were printed as a black (rather thick) line. I thought is was some kind print-option and continued working.
Now the book is about finished but I really can't find a way to make these page edges go away.

If I magnify my document on the screen I can actuallly see them, they're a lot thicker then a 'normal' page edge would display on screen. But I cannot click/select them (so I can't erase them either), not in the master pages, they're not 'locked' or anything....

    Anybody knows what this is?

Are you sure they're not boxes drawn on the master? If not, check the layers palette and see if there are any locked layers there, that might be them, unlock and trash 'em.

    thanks a million
they were indeed in a seperate (locked) layer on the masterpage

I dont use layers often in ID so that's probably why I missed it

You're welcome, glad it was an easy fix and not one of those "reinstall every program on your computer" nightmares. :)
