InDesign file will not let me change the colors.
I have converted a old pagemaker file into InDesign. The file will not let me add new colors. If I try to even draw a box and change the color, the box will not change colors. Same thing for text. If the text is black and I want it to be white, it will not let me even do that.
Thank you in advance!

Export the file to .inx format and reopen in ID. This should work but may not.
