InDesign not loading plugins, prefs, etc.
I am having trouble with ID3.0.1 loading perfectly with the system administrator login, but not loading many plugins, preferences and windows with another system login. This was working fine yesterday, but not today. I am running OSX 10.4.7.

It is still in the original folder. The most confusing thing to me is that it works for one user and not for another, even though they have the same privledges.

Is one user an admin and the other not?
Also, try repairing permissions from Disk Utility. And check that the permissions for the Applications folder and disk haven't been changed, perhpas.

Re: InDesign not loading plugins, prefs, etc.
OS X is a multi-user environment. The InDesign folder and the preferences folder need to be set to be part of the Everyone group. It obviously cannot read its own folders, so we know its a rights issue. This is very common. If you are running OS X you need to learn about this, or have an administrator present to help you with it. It can cause all kinds of problems if the permissions are set wrong on applications, and the permissions repair will do nothing for you as it only checks a predefined set of directories and does not go near the InDesign directories.
