InDesign "SmallCaps" Problem
I am using Adobe InDesign CS in Mac OS 10.3.2 and Linotronic 630 for creating PS file and Acrobat Distiller 6.0. I am facing a problem with a job where the font "Adobe Caslon Regular" becomes automatically "Small capped" even without applying the "small caps font". The problem does not occur all the time. When I reopen the file without saving, the text seems to be normal. Even, when I re-create PDF from the same file, I am not getting this problem. What could be the potential problem behind this? Do anyone have a solution for this?
Regards

Re: InDesign "SmallCaps" Problem
Hi
I think that there is font problem in your system, Adobe Caslon Regular and Expert family is clashing. R U using Suitcase for fonts or copying the fonts to fonts folder.
My suggestion is use suitcase so that the font won't clash and your indesign will be faster.
Try this method: Find and remove Adobe Caslon family including Expert family from your system. Then freshly load the font, then try.

Re: InDesign "SmallCaps" Problem
I've seen this with certain fonts in ID. Sometimes, turning off ligatures for that font fixes the problem--though not always. I've also found that it can be a corruption in the document. A save to Interchange can sometimes fix it if that is the problem.
