I am having a Puzzling problem.
We create a PDF file for a Job done in Indesign with Tiff files and EPS files in it.
When we create the PDF file and run it thhru Pitstop Professional i am getting the Tiff files saying they are CMYK when I know they are saved as Grayscale. (tripled checked that)
The EPS files are Maps with type in it. All the type is saying it is RGB.
I open the eps files in AI and the type is Black 100% K.

When we run a pitstop report to check for ALL BLACK everything is showing up as all Black.

This is buggy and it seems it is only happening with our Indesign files
I am Patched up to the Latest version of Indesign, and pitstop.

What i did notice in Indesign is the "Apperance of Black" in the preferences is set to Black to view as RICH black as well as output.
could this be causing the issue in the illustrator files.
Rich Black is made from CMYK.

we are sending this to the clients printer (RRD) to see if it will be ok.
This is just bothering us.
Because we can not see where cmyk or RGB is coming into play in a BLACK book.

Thank you
Matt
