Indexing without page numbers
The index I have uses section headings (e.g, Nouns 12.2.4) to reference placing in the document. I know this is bazaar but the document is going to be a PDF with links. I have 15 chapters in a book file. I want to be able to select the section number in the index (as above) and then tell it to link to matching text. So to search for the section so I don't have to manually search for the page and enter it. What is the easiest way to do this. Wondered if it is possible with tags, or with the hyperlink palette, or is it better to use Acrobat to make the links from the index?
Make sense?
Anyone have ideas of suggestions?
Thanks

Re: Indexing without page numbers
I haven't had any luck getting the index to link to the text it references. Not even in word! That would be a serious bonus though. Sorry i can't help.
