    Default INF Install failure reason unknown

    I have a Compaq presario r3000 I recently had a corupted hardrive and had a
    tech guy fix it for me, I tried to reinstall flash player and I get INF Install
    failure reason unknown please someone help me.

    Btw I tried to do what the previous thread suggested with regards to the dell
    however my computer isnt a dell and didnt have exactly the same registry, so I
    couldnt find what they were talking about ot make it work

    Boots1982,

    I would try to use the Macromedia Flash Player MSI Installer to solve this
    issue. I have seen it cure the INF failure a number of times.
