Does anyone know how to create a link in an xhtml page that will dial a phone
number and make a call when the viewer is looking at the web page on a mobil
phone?

I believe this is possible because my phone manual ( LG Vx 9800, Verizon
Wireless) states............ "Initiating a Phone Call from the Browser - You
can make a phone call from the Browser if the site you are using supports the
feature. The phone number may be highlighted and the Left Soft Key appears as
CALL. The browser connection is terminated when you initiate the call. After
you end the call, your phone returns to the screen from which you initiated the
call."

If anyone has seen this or knows the code that will initiate a call from the
browser please let me know.
