Default Inserting comments into Acrobat doc

I am trying to use the "sticky" notes feature but none of the features of the "comments" or "editing" toolbars are available to my document. Is there any reason for this? I am running version 5.0 and simply working on a white paper that my company created. Thanks,

Default Re: Inserting comments into Acrobat doc

Are you using Adobe Acrobat or Acrobat Reader?

If using Acrobat Reader then this is normal - the PDF would need to have been created using Adobe Reader Extensions Server.

If you are using Adobe Acrobat and by saying that the toolbars are unavailable you mean that they are greyed out then check if there is any document security that prevents any changes being made.

Thanks so much, Dorian! I am using Acrobat, and the toolbars were greyed out. I hadn't thought to check the doc security, and yep, there it was: "Changes: Not Allowed". Going to go hunt down the password now, thanks a bunch!
