    Default Install fms2 help

    I'm installing fms2 for the first time on a Redhat EL4 server (update 4). The
    install went pretty smoothly and I've started the admin port up, but when I
    connect to the admin port (via IE or Firefox) I get the following message:

    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?>
    - <result>
    <level>error</level>
    <code>NetConnection.Connect.Rejected</code>
    <description>Admin user requires valid username and password.</description>
    <timestamp>Tue 13 Mar 2007 02:47:23 PM CDT</timestamp>
    </result>

    I'm pretty sure this points to something in an apache config. What do I need
    to install or configure?

    thanks.

    Default Re: Install fms2 help

    Did you create the admin user (for the Flash Server software)? It looks like it
    is looking for that, as you wouldn't want to be connecting as the admin user
    for RHEL4 to perform administration on the software, only on the OS.

    Yes, I did create the admin user account and set a password. My first inclination is that something in apache is not right as I get the code back instead of a login page.

    You don't log in directly through the browser. You want to use the FMS admin
    console. The console is located here:

    [fms install dir]/fms2_console.htm

    Enter your hostname and login details, and you should be all set.
