Install Problem - eBay Plug-In
I downloaded and installed the trial copy of Contribute 3. I then downloaded
the WA eBay Plug-in for Contribute 3 and when I try to install it I get a
message that states "In order to install, Contribute 3 must be installed
first". I don't know why I'm getting this message since I have launched
Contribute 3 and even ran the built-in tutorial.
I have rebooted the system and I still get the same message.
Could it be that I'm running a trail version of Contribute 3? Should I try to
re-download the file and try it again?
Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Re: Install Problem - eBay Plug-In
I'm guessing that you're talking about the "WA eBay Storebuilder for Contribute 3. I dont think the problem is you having a trial version; I have a full version and its still not working for my pc.

Re: Install Problem - eBay Plug-In
Found the fix at:
http://www.webassist.com/Support/WebHelpDetails.asp?DiscID=34571
"Operating system and version: XP Pro
Macromedia product and version: Contribute 3
Browser and version: Any
The WA eBay StoreBuilder looks for the following registry path during install:
\\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Macromedia\Contribut e\3.0\Installation\InstallPath
The problem I encountered was that on my version of XP Pro; the registry path
included the folder "3" not "3.0"
So I simply ran RegEdit and renamed the registry folder "3" to "3.0" and the
install worked fine.
Hope that helps."
