Default Installing 160GB seagate hard disk, Solaris 8

Does anybody have experience with installing 160GB hard disk on
Solaris 8, machine SUN Blade 100.
In the begining the machine did not recognise the hard disk and only
showed 508 MB but by later searching the net extensively we were able
to find a way to reconfigure and install 137 GB !!
Does anybody have more experience in it?

It is "well known" that Sun/Sparc/IDE hardware and/or software
is limited to addressing <= 137GB of disk. I'm not intimately
familiar with the details, but you have done as well as it
    is possible to do.

Next disk, you can save a little money and buy 120GB. Last time
I looked, Sun does not sell an IDE drive larger than 80GB, but
I have installed 120GB drives in Sun Blade 100 and Ultra 10
    boxes with no problems whatever.
