    Frazer, I use AppleScript for joining PDF docs together with auto naming bookmarks and sorting the order in which the pages should be added etc but the functions for extracting pages are not there at least in CS1. The better alternative is to use a bit of JavaScript and add this to the batch automate function. Search in forum I posted some time back with the code and how to add this to Acrobat. If you have no luck and it too old post back and i'll dig it out.
